Jordan was 12 years old when his family relocated to Charleston, South Carolina from upstate New York. At the age of 15, he began working in his family’s residential construction business as part of the cleanup crew, and eventually assisted with project coordination while he was still in high school. During his sophomore year at Academic Magnet High School, he became fascinated with chemistry, which generated his initial interest in engineering.
Throughout his college tenure, he was employed as an electrician’s apprentice and electrical estimator. In 2013, he earned a BS degree in civil engineering from Clemson University. Upon graduation, he continued his education at Clemson, receiving a master’s degree in 2014 in civil engineering, with a focus in structural engineering.
After college, Jordan returned to Charleston in 2015 and joined Berenyi. Over the next several years, he rose through the ranks to become a respected leader of the design-build project team as project manager. His concise communication style, laser sharp focus on exceeding client expectations, and out-of-the-box creativity have become invaluable assets to the Berenyi leadership team and corporate structure. In 2021, Jordan was promoted to Vice President.
As a leader of the company and project management team, he works one on one with Berenyi clients from project inception to completion. He manages client deliverables and communications while overseeing planning, design, development, and implementation with our internal team to ensure each multifaceted construction project is delivered on time and under budget.
As a benefit to the Berenyi team and its impressive clients, Jordan continually leverages new technology to elevate the firm’s expedient and efficient processes. He is a true team player, and finds it rewarding as a structural engineer to work with such an accomplished core team to bring a diverse range of commercial and industrial construction projects from start to finish.
He and his wife live in Charleston, South Carolina.
