NCT Chassis Yard

Berenyi was the general contractor for the construction of the Chassis Yard at the South Carolina Port’s North Charleston Terminal.  The scope of work included the construction of four chassis and tire inspection portals and a new inspection canopy with operation kiosks.  The portals consist of vehicle barriers – jersey barriers and bollards, canopy mounted open/closed lane indicator lights; OCR portals; kiosks; loop sensors; and gate arms. The project also included asphalt seal coating, asphalt pavement repairs, new concrete pavement, pavement markings, signage, chain link fencing, lighting, electrical, access control system (ACS), and concrete piling.
