To facilitate the goals and needs of the armed forces, Force Protection needed more automation in their vehicle production line. Berenyi was chosen as structural designer and construction manager to install a new automation line. Coordination between automotive, mechanical, electrical, and general contractor efforts was handled by Berenyi. This fast track project was completed in just eight weeks.
Additionally, Berenyi provided the design for an assembly line which manufactured MRAPs, special armored vehicles that protected troops being transported from mines, IEDs, snipers, etc., a much needed support for the US troops in Iraq. The new line was laid out inside a very large building complex previously owned and used by GE to manufacture huge power generation turbines.
