North Charleston and South Carolina Public Rail reach agreement

December 5 by S. Horton

Last night the City of North Charleston and the South Carolina State Government came to a mutual agreement concerning freight rail access to a proposed intermodal container facility. The intermodal facility will be located on the former Navy Base property and serve as a key component in the transport and handling of cargo entering the port. The need for such a facility is further evidence of the growth and importance of our port and growth of the South Carolina economy. Read more about this agreement by clicking on the links below.

This is a big win for our friends at South Carolina Public Railways, City of North Charleston, and the State of South Carolina! We at Berenyi congratulate them all and are hopeful for great success on the future intermodal facility project, and other projects that were on hold while the two parties negotiated.
